Description : Skamania Hatchery, located along the North Fork Washougal River about 0.5 mile above the Washougal River, was authorized under the Mitchell Act and began operating in 1956 as part of the Columbia River Fisheries Development Program. The goal of the hatchery is to produce winter steelhead, summer steelhead, and sea-run cutthroat for harvest by sport anglers.
