||Clackamas Hatchery, located on the Clackamas River in McIver State Park, 6 miles west of the city of Estacada, Oregon, began operations in 1979 and is operated from four funding sources: ODFW, NMFS (Mitchell Act), PGE, and the City of Portland. The PGE and City of Portland funds are mitigation for fishery losses caused by hydroelectric development in the Sandy and Clackamas river systems. Clackamas hatchery is used for adult collection, egg incubation, and rearing of spring Chinook and winter steelhead, and acclimation of summer steelhead.
