Description : Imnaha Pond, a satellite of Lookingglass Hatchery, is located along the Imnaha River, 32 miles upriver from the town of Imnaha, was built in 1988 for the collection of spring Chinook adults. Adults are captured and transported to Lookingglass Hatchery where eggs are incubated and juveniles reared. Juvenile/smolts are then transferred back to Imnaha Pond for acclimation and release into the Imnaha River as part of the Lower Snake River Compensation Program.
