Description : McCall Hatchery, located within the city limits of McCall, Idaho on the North Fork Payette River, approximately 0.25 miles downstream from Payette Lake, was constructed in 1979 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of the Lower Snake River Compensation Plan. The LSRCP mitigation goal is to return 8,000 summer Chinook above Lower Granite Dam. The hatchery still produces rainbow trout to mitigate for Dworshak dam.
