Description : Wallowa Hatchery, located near Enterprise, OR, began operations in 1920 as a resident trout hatchery. In 1985, the hatchery was renovated as part of the Lower Snake River Compensation Program. Wallowa Hatchery serves as the site for the first 10 months of rearing for the Grande Ronde Basin Spring Chinook Salmon Captive Broodstock Project.
