Description : McKenzie Hatchery, located along the McKenzie River approximately 22 miles east of Springfield, Oregon, was reconstructed in 1975. It is jointly funded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife as mitigation for the development of Blue River and Cougar reservoirs on the upper McKenzie River. The goal of the hatchery is to provide spring Chinook for sport fishing in the McKenzie and Molalla rivers.
