Managers of white sturgeon in the Columbia River Basin categorize the basin's populations into eight management units(MU). Of the MU's that are located within the portion of the Basin for which efforts are implemented through the Fish and Wildlife Program, only the Lower Mid-Columbia and Middle Snake managenment units can be classified as stable or increasing.
